Questions that still go largely unsolved: |
Why did the Egyptians build the pyramids?
|
How did they achieve such amazing feats of
architecture and engineering?
|
|
Egyptologists have mostly maintained that the
Pyramids were tombs to honour dead Pharoahs, ordered by the Pharoahs themselves
as a gateway to the afterlife, built by slaves and laid out in a relatively
unstructured manner. After many years of study there are now other reasons
coming to light as to why amazing structures like the Pyramids of Egypt and
Aztec cultures exist!

Robert Bauval, author of the 'The
Orion Mystery', realized that the relative sizes, and detailed
positioning of the Giza pyramids were a replica of the stars forming
the 'belt' in the constellation of Orion. In addition, the
supposed 'air shafts' in the pyramids actually pointed directly towards Orion.
This was with the aim of projecting the soul of the deceased king out towards
the constellation.
